United Colleges Group recognised with prestigious accreditation for outstanding ‘people first’ culture
United Colleges Group (UCG) is celebrating after being awarded a ‘We invest in people, Silver accreditation’ by Investors in People – an internationally recognised workplace accreditation for people management and employee wellbeing.
In securing this accreditation, UCG has proven its commitment to actively investing in its employees and supporting their professional development, and shown it is going above and beyond to nurture its staff community. This award reflects UCG’s success in delivering on one of its strategic aims which is to develop a people first culture, that is inclusive, fair and responsive.
Following a detailed assessment, which included surveys, documentation reviews, interviews and visits by an assessor to UCG’s London campuses, UCG was presented with this respected accreditation alongside a detailed final report. In their report, Investors in People praised UCG for nurturing a “compassionate and caring work environment”, its “collaborative and supportive culture” and its “significant investment in supporting professional development.”

This accreditation is the latest in a series of accolades awarded to UCG in celebration of its work in the people space. This includes being named a Disability Confident Leader – the highest tier of the UK Government scheme – and achieving the Investors in Diversity Gold – Leaders in Diversity accreditation by the National Centre for Diversity (NCFD), becoming the only college in London to hold this status. UCG has also been named as one of the NCFD’s Top 100 Inclusive UK Employers for the second year running.
