Level 3 results celebrate achievement and the range of pathways open to UCG students

As students across the country receive their Level 3 results, this year’s achievements at City of Westminster College highlight the value of giving young people the opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence and progress towards their goals.

Our students’ experiences demonstrate that there is no single route to success: for some, practical, career-focused study is a stepping stone to university; for others, it can lead towards an apprenticeship, employment or further training.

This year’s Level 3 learners are moving on to a wide range of destinations, including universities, degree apprenticeships and employment, with many reflecting on the industry-relevant experience, support and confidence they gained during their time at college.

Zakaria – studied Business, Level 3

“I achieved Distinction, Distinction, Distinction in my results! Since moving to the country, the college and my tutor have helped me grow in confidence. I really enjoyed the practical courses and the wide range of activities offered at CWC. My next step is to study Business Management at Queen Mary University, with the goal of building a career in finance and accounting.”

Edion – studied Business, Level 3

“My college experience offered lots of opportunities and helped students find the right path. A special shout-out to my tutor, who was always there for me and guided me through difficult times. I got Distinction, Distinction, Distinction in my results and I’m going on to study Business with Law at Queen Mary University, I’m aiming to start my own business in the future.”

Daoud – studied Information Technology, Level 3

“My teachers for IT were great – they were always engaging in the classroom and the learning was very practical which I liked. The great thing about CWC is the diversity, everyone is accepted and welcome here. I’m aiming for a degree apprenticeship next, if not I will go to university.”

Charlie – studied Performing & Production Arts, Level 3

“The staff and tutors really do their best to get to know you and learn what kind of education style works for you. There are people from all backgrounds here, there are great facilities here and tutors support all sorts of learning styles. I am off to Goldsmiths University to continue my acting training.”

“At City of Westminster College, my experience has been the best of all the other colleges I’ve attended. The reason I like CWC is because the teachers make my journey easier with assessment and exams. I’m a Level Two Science student and I enjoy my lessons because most of them are practical, which are helpful for me. I love studying at CWC because you meet people from other countries – all over the world and from all different communities.”

“Getting into security has opened doors for me.”
City of Westminster College Logo

“The training process was seamless. I had good instructors who were very flexible, supporting people of all learning levels. On the last day after our exams, a security company came and did a presentation. We had the opportunity to have an interview afterwards. I told them about my experiences, and they said I would be a good fit. I formally applied for a role and started with the company soon after. Getting into security has opened doors for me. I hope I will continue to take steps up the career ladder.”
