AM2S Assessment
The AM2S Assessment is designed for experienced electrical workers who need to demonstrate their occupational competence and achieve recognised industry certification. Rather than a taught course, the AM2S is a practical assessment programme that tests your ability to carry out a range of electrical installation tasks safely and to the standards expected within the industry.
Delivered over one week in fully equipped electrical workshops, the assessment provides experienced electricians with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, practical ability and understanding of safe working practices.
As this is an assessment rather than a taught programme, you will be expected to demonstrate your existing electrical knowledge and practical skills.
The assessment covers areas including:
- Electrical installation practices
- Fault diagnosis and fault finding
- Inspection and testing

- Application of industry standards and procedures
Successfully completing the AM2S Assessment can support progression towards:

- Employment and progression as a qualified electrician
- Further specialist electrical qualifications
