Teams Frequently Asked Questions:

 
Q         I can see one set of Teams on one computer and a different set of Teams on another computer (this equally applies to OneDrive and other data types)?
A.         It is likely that one of the computers was looking at the old 365 tenancy, one at the new.  Connections to the old tenancy (at CWC and CNWL) have now been removed so you should only see the new tenancy and therefore, one set of Teams (OneDrive / Forms / Sway / Stream etc)
 
Q.        My Team is missing (and you haven’t yet requested any Teams transfer) where is it?
A.         For Staff Teams, complete the form here
A.         For 19/20 Teaching Teams, complete the form here

Q.        My Team is missing (and you have completed a Teams transfer form) where is it?
A.         Your Team hasn’t been transferred yet, we are prioritising this and should be completed before 07/09/20
 
Q.        When will my Teams data be migrated?
A.         We’ve already processed and migrated 120 requests out of 160 actionable requests and we’re working hard to migrate the remaining 40 as quickly as possible, hopefully before the end of next week.  There are another 100 requests for transfer but it has been impossible to action these due to the information received on the transfer request form and we are currently contacting staff to clarify the request.  Data migration has been scheduled in the order in which requests were received. Successful Teams data migration remains our No 1 priority.
 
Q.        My Team exists but the name is wrong how can I fix this?
A.         For Staff Teams, you can simply rename it
A.         For 20/21 Teaching Teams, there is an agreed naming convention/structure for Courses/Groups – if this is incorrect, please contactCruyff.fernandes@cnwl.ac.uk
 
Q.        I teach on course XXYYZZ but can’t see the appropriate team/channel for that course?
A.         Please contact Cruyff.fernandes@cnwl.ac.uk
 
Q.        I teach on course XXYYZZ but can’t see the appropriate team, should I create a new Team?
A.         No, Teaching Teams creation is driven from the Student Records Platform. If a Teaching Team is missing, please contact Cruyff.fernandes@cnwl.ac.uk so that this can be investigated & resolved
 
Q.        I teach on course XXYYZZ but some of my students are missing, should I add them?
A.         No, Teaching Teams membership is driven from the Student Records Platform. If a student is missing, please contact Cruyff.fernandes@cnwl.ac.uk so that this can be investigated & resolved
 
Q.        Some of my Teams files are missing (Staff Teams or 19/20 teaching teams)?
A.         Please email itsupport@cwc.ac.uk, we will log your issue, investigate and report back
 
Q.        My Teaching Team files haven’t been migrated yet, can I continue to teach?
A.         If the Team exists, you can still teach your students using whatever other appropriate materials you have
 
Q.        There’s no calendar icon within the Teams application for Paddington & Maida Vale?
A.         This will be resolved as a part of the CWC mailbox migration
 
Q.        Some of my students can’t logon how can I resolve this?
A.         Paddington & Maida Vale  – please email student details to lrc@cwc.ac.uk, or have the student visit the LRC at PC or MV
A.         For Willesden, Wembley & Kings Cross – please email student details to ILT@cnwl.ac.uk. First line support for students is being provided by our LRC teams, our thanks to them for this.
