At United Colleges Group, the welfare and safety of our learners is of great importance to us. We are committed to creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe and supportive environment to ensure all learners are safe from harm, abuse, bullying and neglect. The College expects all staff and visitors to respect and engage with this commitment.
The Prevent duty is part of the government’s counter-terrorism strategy designed to safeguard people and communities from the threat of terrorism. We have a statutory duty to take measures to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism or extremism and to support those who might be susceptible to radicalisation.
Complying with the Prevent duty also includes ensuring our college community are aware of their responsibilities in preventing radicalisation and extremism and promoting British values including democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, tolerance and mutual respect for different faiths and beliefs.
Are you or someone you know at risk of harm? Do you need help to keep yourself or someone else safe?
