Supported Internships

Are you a young person aged 16 – 24 with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP), motivated to develop skills for work and independence? 

A Supported Internship is a work-based study programme that helps young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) move into paid employment. It provides real workplace experience, personalised learning and onsite job coaching support.  

UCG partners with employers across a wide range of sectors, including retail, hospitality, administration, facilities, health & social Care and the creative industries. Students will have the opportunity to rotate in different roles, building a broad set of workplace skills while participating in community projects.
