The course is for young people with mild/moderate learning difficulties, aged 18-24, who would like to obtain employment.
We are working in conjunction with the London Transport Museum to access substantial periods of work placement, followed by support to look for paid employment.
Classes in college will be based on preparing the learners for employment. Learners will have the opportunity to gain qualifications in Employability, Food Safety, Basic First Aid and Functional Skills Numeracy, Literacy and IT. Work placements will be supported by our job coach and Remploy.
Classes generally have between 7-10 students.
It is likely that most applicants will have already done a college course, such as Skills for Working Life. Students will be interviewed and assessed to ensure that they are suitable and fully committed to finding appropriate employment.
