The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services is a full-time course designed for learners aged 16-18 who are aiming for careers in the police, armed forces, fire service, security and emergency services.
This advanced programme develops the knowledge, leadership skills and physical fitness required to succeed in uniformed public service roles, while also preparing you for university, apprenticeships or direct employment.
The course is delivered over two years:
You will study a wide range of units designed to reflect real-life public service scenarios and develop your professional skills.
You will also take part in trips and visits, such as army training camps and fire service training centres, providing valuable insight into the sector.
You will learn through a combination of classroom-based theory and practical activities including leadership exercises, teamwork tasks, drills and fitness training.
