Travel and Tourism Level 3 Extended Diploma
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a full-time, two-year course for learners aged 16-18 who are passionate about travel, tourism, hospitality and working with people. This course is ideal if you enjoy exploring new cultures and want to build a career in the global travel industry. It is equivalent to three A Levels and prepares you for university, apprenticeships or employment in tourism and related sectors.

You will also take part in educational visits and residential trips, helping you gain valuable industry insight and real-world experience.
How you will learn: Through a combination of classroom-based theory, practical activities, customer service simulations and industry-related projects.
After successfully completing this course, you can progress to:
- University degrees in travel, tourism, hospitality or business
- Careers such as cabin crew, holiday representative, travel consultant or hotel management
- Apprenticeships within the travel and tourism industry
- Direct employment in customer service, tourism or hospitality roles
Assessment is carried out through coursework and assignments, based on real industry scenarios. You will build a portfolio of work through:
- Practical tasks and case studies
- Written assignments and reports
- Presentations and group projects
All work is internally assessed and externally moderated, with final grades awarded as Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*.
- 4–5 GCSEs (grades 4–5), including English and maths (flexibility may apply)
- OR Level 2 qualification
- An interview may be required; we’ll be in touch after you apply to invite you to an interview if needed
- Alternative entry via relevant experience may be acceptable
- Equivalent to three A Levels with UCAS points
- Develop strong customer service and communication skills
