T Level in Laboratory Science is a two-year, full-time programme for learners aged 16-18, designed as a high-quality alternative to A Levels. Equivalent to three A Levels, this course combines classroom-based learning with industry experience to prepare you for a career in science or progression to higher education. You will gain the knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience needed to succeed in laboratory science and health-related industries.
The course is made up of two key components: a technical qualification and an industry placement.
You will learn through a combination of classroom teaching, practical laboratory work, project-based learning and real-world industry experience.
You will also complete a minimum 315-hour industry placement (approximately 45 days), giving you valuable experience in a real workplace environment.
