T Level in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing is a two-year, full-time qualification for learners aged 16–18, equivalent to three A Levels. Developed with employers, this course combines technical knowledge, practical skills and industry experience, preparing you for careers in engineering, manufacturing or mechanical sectors.
You will study a broad range of core engineering knowledge and practical skills designed to prepare you for careers in the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Learning takes place through a combination of classroom-based teaching, practical projects, industry-focused assignments and a minimum 315-hour industry placement (approximately 45 days), giving you valuable real-world experience.
Throughout the course, you will develop the technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities and workplace skills required to progress into higher education, apprenticeships or employment within the engineering industry.
