Site Carpentry Level 2 Diploma
The Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry is designed for learners who want to develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required for a career in the construction industry as a site carpenter. Available for 16-18 full-time students, this course builds on basic carpentry skills and prepares you for employment, apprenticeships, or progression to Level 3 qualifications.
Awarding Body:
You will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge across a range of carpentry tasks relevant to the construction industry. Units include:
- Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction
- Principles of Building Construction, Information and Communication
- First fix flooring and roofing
- First fix frames, partitions and stairs
- Maintenance and repair tasks
- Setting up and operating a circular saw
You will learn through a combination of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory. Training takes place in fully equipped carpentry workshops using industry-standard tools and materials, supported by experienced tutors.
After successfully completing this course, you can progress to:
- Level 3 Site Carpentry or Construction qualifications
- Carpentry and joinery apprenticeships
- Employment in site carpentry or general construction roles
- Future progression into supervisory roles within the industry
