Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 2 Certificate
The Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is a part-time course for adults aged 19+ who want to start a career in the health and social care sector. This introductory qualification is ideal if you are new to the industry, returning to work or considering a career change. - Apprenticeships within the care sector
- Entry-level roles in adult social care settings
Assessment is carried out through coursework and portfolio-based evidence, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. Methods include:
- Written assignments
- Practical activities
- Professional discussions
- 2–4 GCSEs (grades 2, 3 or 4) OR Level 1 qualification (flexibility may apply)
- Ideally English or maths at grade 3–4, or willingness to study alongside
