Please note: we will only accept applicants who have already achieved a Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing. The Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship at the College of North West London is designed for learners who want to build a career in plumbing, heating and building services engineering. This course prepares you to fit, service, maintain and repair domestic water, heating and drainage systems. You will develop the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to work safely and effectively in homes, buildings and construction sites, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service. All apprentices develop core skills in plumbing and domestic heating systems, then specialise in one of three pathways: Domestic Gas Fired Hot Water Heating Appliances Technician, Domestic Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal Systems Technician, or Non-Domestic Plumbing Technician.

This apprenticeship can also support progression into more specialist technical roles and professional recognition, including EngTech through professional bodies such as CIPHE and CIBSE.
Assessment is carried out through workplace learning, on-programme training and completion of mandatory qualifications.
English and maths qualifications must also be completed in line with apprenticeship funding rules where required.
