Course Details
Course Overview

This accredited Level 3 qualification is designed to equip plumbing and heating professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to design and install efficient low-temperature heating and hot water systems in residential settings. Developed in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and the Heat Pump Association, the course addresses the growing demand for sustainable heating solutions and aligns with the UK's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

This comprehensive one-day course is designed for plumbing and heating professionals seeking to gain an in-depth understanding of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, commonly referred to as the Water Regulations. Participants will gain expertise in:
Industry Standards and Regulations: Understanding the latest standards and regulatory frameworks related to heating system design.
Heat Loss Calculations: Conducting accurate room-by-room heat loss assessments to inform system design.
Emitter Sizing: Correctly sizing heat emitters to optimize system efficiency and performance.
Pump and Pipework Sizing: Determining appropriate sizes for pumps and pipework to ensure effective heat distribution.
Domestic Hot Water Systems: Designing and sizing domestic hot water systems to meet household demands.
System Configuration Principles: Applying fundamental design principles to configure efficient low-temperature heating systems.
