At AS level we look at in Unit 1 Change and Consolidation: Britain 1906-1951. In Unit 2 we look at Issues: Periods of Change: The Campaign for Civil Rights in the USA 1950-1968. At A2 (2013-2014) we will look at in Unit 3 The State and the People: Change and Continuity: The making of Modern Britain 1951-2007 and Unit 4 is an 4000 word Historical Enquiry on an aspect of US Foreign Policy 1891-1991.
Only for the A2 in the year 2012-2013 we will be looking at in Unit 3 The US Challenged and Transformed- A Disunited Nation 1820-1877 and in Unit 4 an Historical Enquiry of two 2000 word essays on aspects of 20th Century International Relations 1879-1980. This is following the Edexcel board.
Apart from the general entry criteria for A-levels, you must have a Grade B in one of the following subjects: English Language, English Literature, Geography, History, Politics, Psychology, Religious Education (full) or Sociology
