Health & Social Care Level 1 Diploma
The Level 1 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a full-time course for learners aged 16-18 who want to begin a career in the healthcare, social care or community support sectors. This introductory course provides a strong foundation in the key principles of care, helping you develop the knowledge, practical skills and values needed to support individuals and make a positive impact in people’s lives.

How you will learn: Through a combination of classroom-based theory, practical activities, group discussions, role play and work experience opportunities.

- Apprenticeships within the health or care sector
- Entry-level roles in care or community support
Assessment is carried out through continuous coursework, allowing you to build a portfolio of evidence. Methods include:
- Practical activities

- 2-3 GCSEs (grades 2 or 3) (flexibility may apply)
- Initial assessment in English and maths
- Alternative entry via reference, personal statement, or demonstrated interest may be acceptable
