GCSE ENGLISH – Evening
The course aims to improve your writing, reading and oral communication skills. You will read a variety of texts and have practice in writing in a range of different styles. Attention will be paid to developing your spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and grammar. You will engage in discussion, debate and deliver individual talks. You will undertake a series of controlled assessments and sit an exam at the end of the year.
You will need to have an English Language Grade D prior to starting the course and pass a written English entrance test. Mature students who do not have a grade D will be assessed through an entrance test.
If you are over 19 and you wish to study it by itself, you should normally apply for an evening class.
