The Gas Engineering Operative Level 3 Apprenticeship at the College of North West London is designed for learners who want to build a career in the gas engineering and heating industry. This course prepares you to install, maintain and repair gas appliances and systems in domestic and non-domestic settings. You will develop the skills required to work safely with gas systems while delivering high standards of customer service and energy efficiency advice. As a gas engineering operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring homes and buildings have safe, reliable heating and hot water systems, while supporting energy efficiency and sustainability goals.

Assessment for this Level 3 apprenticeship includes an End-Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of the programme.
You will also need to achieve relevant industry certifications, such as IGEM gas safety qualifications, and complete English and maths requirements where applicable.
The EPA is graded as fail, pass, merit or distinction and confirms your competence as a gas engineering operative.
