Our English for Academic Purposes course is designed for adult learners who want to improve their academic English skills for university study, professional development or exam preparation such as IELTS. This part-time course focuses on developing reading, writing, speaking and listening skills needed to succeed in English-speaking academic and professional environments.
You will develop your academic English skills through structured learning stages, building confidence and independence in your studies.
You will learn through a combination of classroom teaching, discussions, research tasks and independent study.
After successfully completing this course, you can progress to:
Assessment is based on coursework and ongoing performance, including:
A minimum of band 4 or Level 2 ESOL. An entry test will need to be taken
