DIY – Motor Vehicle Maintenance
The course is intended to help people who want to save money on car service and repair bills, and who would enjoy undertaking basic car maintenance.
Certain key areas are crucial – e.g., servicing and pre-MOT checks – as these? ensure students gain vital tips on being safe and ‘savvy’ motorists, hopefully saving themselves money along the way.
Some of the topics covered :
By the end of the 10 weeks students have a general understanding of the motor trade, vehicle components, basic legal and recommended requirements, and a `how to` approach to basic DIY.
Some of the topics covered: Servicing and maintenance of lubrication systems, cooling systems, braking systems, transmission systems, electrical systems, wheels and tyres.
NB: You will need to wear stout protective footwear and suitable overalls ?
