This course is for animation enthusiasts looking to learn 3D or animation applications, or just to build a portfolio.
You will have the opportunity to learn about and practice the techniques mastered in the golden age of animation up to present day techniques. You will have the choice of learning both 3Dstudio Max and/or Adobe After Effects in preparation for their final outcome. You will learn about narrative structures and begin to develop and experiment with the different animation styles and techniques. You will then go on to create a fully realised animation for your major project.
A visual portfolio and English GCSE grade D.
The interview process
You should bring a portfolio of traditional or digital work to date, any work with the emphasis on movement. You should have a deep interest in animation or motion as the learning curve is quite steep.
