Business Level 2 Transition to T Level
The Business Level 2 Transition to T Level course is designed for students aged 16–18 who want to build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress onto a T Level in Management and Administration or other Level 3 business courses.
This course provides a strong foundation in business administration, helping you understand how organisations operate and preparing you for further study or entry-level roles in a business environment.
Awarding Body:
You will develop essential business and administrative skills that are relevant across a wide range of industries.
Topics include:
- Principles of business administration
- Managing information and data
- Supporting business events and activities
- Communication in a business environment
- Understanding different industries and job roles
The course is designed to prepare you academically, professionally and behaviourally for progression to a T Level. You will also develop key employability skills such as teamwork, organisation and problem-solving.
On successful completion, you can progress to:
- City & Guilds T Level in Management & Administration
- Level 3 Business qualifications
- Apprenticeships in business administration
This course also supports entry into a variety of business administration roles across different sectors.
This course is assessed through coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding through practical and written assignments.

- Portfolio of evidence
- 2–4 GCSEs (grades 2, 3 or 4) OR Level 1 qualification (flexibility may apply)
- Ideally English or maths at grade 3–4, or willingness to study alongside
- An interview may be required; we’ll be in touch after you apply to invite you to an interview if needed
- Alternative entry via relevant experience may be acceptable
