BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Public Services
Modules may include; Public Service Skills Employment in the Uniformed Services Improving health and fitness for entry to the uniformed public services Sport and recreation in the public services Crime and it's effects on society Career planning for the public services Citizenship, the individual and society The course also includes trips and visits, examples of which include an Army training camp and a Fire brigade training venue.
You need to have an interest in the uniformed public services and a willingness to take part in both practical and theory based activities. Learners should have at least 4 grade Cs at GCSE, usually including English, or Level 2 Functional Skills in Literacy, OR a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at a merit or distinction grade. Maths GCSE at a grade D or above would be beneficial. You will also need to bring a reference from a teacher or employer. You may be required to have a CRB check in relation to work experience within the sector.
