Level 2 Extended Certificate in Applied Science is a full-time course for learners aged 16-18 who want to develop a strong understanding of biology, chemistry and physics, while gaining practical laboratory skills. This course provides an excellent foundation for progression to Level 3 science courses and a wide range of science-related careers.
You will study a variety of scientific topics that explore how science is applied in the real world, alongside developing practical investigation skills.
You will learn through a combination of classroom-based teaching, practical experiments, group work and independent study to build both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
You will also work towards improving your English and Maths through GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications alongside your course.
