A Level History is designed for learners aged 16-18 who are interested in understanding the past and developing strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills. This course explores key historical events and themes across British and American history, helping you evaluate evidence, form arguments and understand how history shapes the modern world. It is highly valued by universities and employers for the transferable skills it develops.
You will study a range of historical topics across two years, combining in-depth investigations with broader thematic studies.
You will learn through class discussions, group work, independent research, debates and analysis of historical sources, supported by curated online resources and educational visits.
