The A Level Business Studies course is designed for learners aged 16-18 who want to develop a strong understanding of how businesses operate in today’s dynamic and global economy. This course equips you with essential skills in analysis, evaluation, critical thinking and decision-making, preparing you for university study or a wide range of careers in business, finance, marketing and management.
The course is structured into four key themes, building your knowledge from core business concepts to more advanced and strategic thinking.
You will learn through a combination of classroom-based teaching, case studies, group discussions, independent research and real-world business examples, alongside opportunities to attend trips and industry visits.
You will explore how businesses operate in different contexts, analyse real business scenarios and develop a strategic understanding of business opportunities and challenges.

Assessment is carried out through three external written examinations at the end of the course.
